My friend said to me last night that if he knew his neighbor was a terrorist who was about to detonate a nuclear bomb, he would ask for an airstrike to be made on his building even with him inside it. He asked me if I would do so in order to save millions of lives and I told him no way. He asked what if the entire world depended on it, and again I said no way. He asked what if an entire say andromeda-size galaxy teeming with life depended on my self sacrifice. Here was my answer:

Your own life is the entire universe. A galaxy doesn’t compare. A dozen galaxies doesn’t compare.
